New York: St. Martin’s Press, 1988
First edition, first printing. Presentation copy, inscribed by the author to a contemporary recipient on the second half-title page, “with every good wish.” A very good copy, only with slight bumping and a little edge wear to the boards. A tiny smudge at the first half title page but otherwise clean throughout. In a very good, unclipped dust jacket (showing the original $18.95) with a some toning to the extremities. A square and sharp example overall of this masterwork of psychological horror, adapted to film in 1991 to a praise unparalleled in its genre. Inscribed copies are scarce.
